Text SizePrintE-mailReprints By Associated Press, APINDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts have ended the suspense. Barring some unforeseen accident, they will take Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the top overall pick in Thursday night’s NFL draft.
Then the real intrigue begins.
Loading...CommentsWeigh InCorrections?With 10 picks in the draft, the Colts will have plenty of opportunities to fill holes.
If new coach Chuck Pagano wants to make a smooth transition to his preferred 3-4 defense, the Colts need to get bigger up front. They also had one of the worst pass defenses in league history last season.
They could give Luck some new toys by adding a tight end, running back or receiver. Or Indy could try to protect its new investment by improving the offensive line.
First-time general manager Ryan Grigson says he can’t wait to get started.
