Text SizePrintE-mailReprints By Associated Press, EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Lamar Odom isn’t attending the Los Angeles Lakers’ media day at training camp amid reports the versatile big man will be traded to Dallas.
Odom wasn’t at the Lakers’ training complex on Sunday, although the team claims no trade has taken place.
Loading...CommentsWeigh InCorrections?The Los Angeles Times and Dallas Morning News reported Odom has been sent to the Mavericks for a trade exception. After the Lakers’ proposed megatrade for Chris Paul was blocked by the league on Thursday, the club is thought to be positioning itself for a run at Orlando center Dwight Howard.
Pau Gasol attended the Lakers’ media day, again expressing his hope the Lakers don’t trade him. Gasol was a part of the three-team deal for Paul.
Odom was the NBA’s sixth man of the year last season.
